Share a chat link

Generate a public URL for any chat thread. Visitors see the conversation and citations without a docAnalyzer account.

Share links turn any chat thread into a read-only public URL. Useful when you want to show a colleague the answer you got, send a client the analysis they asked for, or attach the conversation to a ticket without copy-pasting.

What visitors see

When someone opens the share link, they see:

  • The full chat thread (every turn, every answer).
  • The source documents in the viewer, with citation deep links working as they would for you.
  • Any artifacts produced during the chat, downloadable by the viewer.

They don't see:

  • Other documents in your workspace.
  • Your account or workspace information beyond what's in the chat.
  • The ability to add to or modify the conversation.
  1. 1

Open the chat you want to share.

  2. 2

Click the share icon in the chat header.

  3. 3

    Configure access (optional; see below).

  4. 4

    Click Create share link.

  5. 5

    Copy the URL. Send it.

Access options

Option What it does When to use
Public Anyone with the URL can view Default: visitors don't need an account
Password-protected URL requires the password to open Sensitive content, controlled distribution
Expiring URL stops working after the date you set Time-bounded sharing

You can combine options (password + expiry).

Revoking a share

Open the chat → share menu → Revoke. The URL stops working immediately. Visitors who had the chat open continue to see what they already loaded, but reloading will fail.

These look similar at first but do different things:

Share link Chatbot
Shows an existing chat thread, read-only An interactive chat widget visitors can use
One conversation captured A standing surface visitors can ask new questions on
Good for: showing someone a specific result Good for: embedding a Q&A surface on your site

If you want visitors to ask their own questions, see Embed a chatbot.
